She does look caught in a thought, I wonder if the narrative element could be pushed at all. Although as I write that, the image may be more symbolic than narrative in it’s present stage.
Another thing that I wonder about was the choices made with painting the figure. Was this figure painted from life? Or was it painted from images or even from mental constructs? The color of the figure appears radically reduced to that pale yellow and black, I wonder about the reasons for that as well.
I like the fingers holding the match and the anatomy on the arm.
